An item is a single record of data registered to a model. You register items per model on the Content screen and enter values along the fields defined in the model’s schema. An item holds a status such as draft or published.
Status and publish status
Section titled “Status and publish status”An item’s status is determined by whether it is published and what stage its latest change is in. An item that has not yet been published is shown as “DRAFT” or “REVIEW”; a published item is shown as “Published”; and once changes are made after publishing, it becomes “Published & DRAFT” or “Published & REVIEW”.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| DRAFT | Not yet published; in a draft state |
| REVIEW | Not yet published; a review has been requested |
| Published | In a published state |
| Published & DRAFT | Published, with unpublished draft changes on top |
| Published & REVIEW | Published, with changes submitted for review |
Status after unpublishing
Section titled “Status after unpublishing”When you unpublish a published item, “Published” is removed from its status. An item included in a request that is waiting for review becomes “REVIEW”, and an item that is not included in one becomes “DRAFT”.
Items recorded automatically
Section titled “Items recorded automatically”In addition to field values and status, an item records the following automatically, and they are shown in the list.

Version history
Section titled “Version history”An item is recorded as a version each time you edit and save it. Each version records the status and the time at that point, along with the creator or the updater. You can review the content of past versions. Restoring puts that version’s values into the form you are editing, and a new version is recorded when you save. Restoring leaves the original version unchanged.
Restoring replaces only the field values. Metadata values stay as they are. A version identical to the current content cannot be saved even after restoring it.
Version history is shown for an item that has one or more versions.
