Check and restore a past version

Last updated

Every time you save, the item’s field values, status, and the date and time are recorded as a version. You check past versions on the Version History tab of the item’s input screen.

Chooses a saved version and compares its contents with the current contents.

  1. On the Content screen, choose the target model.
  2. Open the input screen of the item you are checking.
  3. Open the Version History tab. Versions are listed newest first, and the newest one is marked current.
  4. Click the date and time of the version you are checking.

The contents of the version you chose are displayed alongside the current contents. The version side is read-only.

The Version History tab appears for an item that has one or more versions.

Puts a past version’s contents back into the current item and saves.

  1. On the Content screen, choose the target model.
  2. Open the input screen of the item you are restoring.
  3. Open the Version History tab.
  4. Click the date and time of the version you are restoring.
  5. Click Restore.
  6. A confirmation appears at the top of the screen. Click Restore.
  7. The field values are replaced by the past version’s. Click Save.

The restored contents are not final until you click Save. Once saved, a new version is recorded, and all the versions up to then remain.

Restoring replaces only the field values; the Meta Data values do not change.
